Time to make the Christmas Cards!

Christmas is just around the corner and here is an easy DIY Christmas card to make and share with friends.

Christmas 2019

This Christmas I wanted to get a jump on my card making.  I have a lot of friends to whom I will be sending cards so I needed something fairly quick to put together yet still beautiful so as to leave a lasting impression.   So today I am sharing a super easy Christmas card to get you off to a great holiday season and into the holiday spirit.  I used the Stampin Up Merry Christmas to All stamp set along with the Feels Like Frost designer series paper.  The instructions are below.  Happy Crafting!

Materials and Supplies

CARDSTOCK:

  • Feels Like Frost DSP
  • Night of Navy
  • Whisper White
  • Seaside Spray

STAMP SETS

  • Merry Christmas to all

INK:

  • Night of Navy

EMBELLISHMENTS:

  • Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon
  • Pearl Basic Jewels

Tools and Adhesives

Paper Trimmer

Snail Adhesive

Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Stampin’ Dimensionals

Mini Glue Dots

The inside of the card looks like this.

I am not fond of “naked” insides, so I used a panel of Whisper White cardstock matted onto a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock.  To keep it simple and reasonably priced, I used a sentiment and flourish from the same Merry Christmas to All stamp set in Night of Navy ink.

Instructional video below.

I so enjoyed spending time with Mom making dozens of this card to send out to all of our family and friends.  I hope you enjoy making them too.  Watch the video below to see how to piece everything together.

How to Make it:

BACK OF CARD

  1.  Use Night of Navy ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card.

INSIDE CARD PANEL

  1. Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink on center top of inside panel of Whisper White cardstock.
  2.  Stamp flourish stamp using Night of Navy ink on lower right corner of Whisper White inside panel.
  3.  Adhere inside panels Seaside Spray and Whisper White together; adhere to inside of card base.

FRONT CARD PANEL

  1.  Adhere 2 x 5-1/4 DSP panel to card base front.
  2.  Use Night of Navy ink to stamp sentiment on 3 x 4 Feels Like Frost DSP cardstock.
  3.  Adhere sentiment DSP to Seaside Spray cardstock and then attach to card front using dimensionals
  4. Make a small bow using the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon and adhere to front of sentiment panel using mini glue dots
  5.  Adhere pearls (see sample picture for placement).
