ugh, high cholesterol

bad news…
MY Story

Warning…

I went to my doctor a few weeks ago and he let me know (again) that I have high cholesterol.  Only this time, he informs me that he is going to prescribe a statin drug to help me bring it down.  Whoa, I am not going to take that.  I have heard to many bad stories about the side effects of taking statin drugs and I don’t want any part of it.  I can change my habits, I promise.

He is not convinced and proceeds to write a prescription telling me that it has gotten to the point that if he didn’t put me on medication, it would be malpractice.

Whoa.  Really???  He just said that for effect, I am sure of it.

Additionally, he provides me with a very strict diet plan to help me lose weight.

Ok, you got my attention.  I can do this.  But I am thinking to myself, I will follow your diet, and I will exercise, and I will lose weight, and I don’t need your pills.  I can do this on my own.  I can figure this out and do it naturally.  First I need to research… lots of research.

More to come…
